Kidd friendly. Great folks and prices. Abundant pick your own items and lovely animals. The goats were so cuddly. They just wanted to love and to be loved. The kids working check out are super sweet. Easy to park and love the drive out. We certainly be back.

Awesome farm, lots of things you can pick like apples, grapes, cherries, peaches, pumpkins, flowers. Also cute animals to pet like donkeys and goats. The scenery is great and the admission fee is low at 4 dollars per person. A definite must go-to place!

Amazing Fuji apples!! You can pick your own apples which is a nice fall activity. Also the goats were fun to watch. They also have a market you can buy pumpkins and gourds from. Overall great fall fun! Admission is a great price as well.

Had an amazing time at the Homestead Farm! Thanks for allowing us to pick some of your delicious apples. We heard it was so good, we had to drive all the way from Annapolis. I had never heard of Enterprise apples before, but they were an instant hit. Our daughter loved picking apples for the first time, but we all know that the goats were the star of the show. We'll be back for pumpkins next week! For Farmer Ben, all the world needs is more parents like you. Thanks again!

As someone originally from Florida, picking your own pumpkin from the vine is something really special ???? and this is a great place for it! About 45 minutes outside of DC and has a huge pumpkin patch, apple orchard, farm market, as well as some farm animals you can visit and a hay ride for the little ones. This has become our yearly pumpkin patch.

Great and happy place. We came here to get some apples, but it was a little too early in the season. We ended up buying super fresh eggplant, peppers, corn and young potatoes. Everyone who worked there at the market was extremely friendly and welcoming. We saw a lot of families with kids, that came fruit picking. We also saw a very cute goat walking on the barn roof ????. Will come back in a few weeks for apples.

Enjoyed our visit today to homestead! Kids loved the apple picking, farm animals, hay stack to climb, beautiful lake, super tasty cider, awesome market and jam that I am so excited to taste! - I only wish there this location had the apple extenders that other farms give to make it easier to pick apples that are too high for hands reach. It made it harder to pick them but we loved our time today at homestead

If you're looking to pick your own fruit in the NOVA area, you should check out Homestead Farm. We drove an hour to come here and it was totally worth it. No reservations or advance tickets needed. Admission is $4 per person and babies are free. You can also buy a bucket for $1. It's a bit of a hike to the blueberry bushes but they have big wheel barrels that you can cart your kids in. Blueberries were aplenty and they are sweet and juicy. Excellent pickings! There is also a farm area with animals like pigs, goats, and chickens. They also had alpacas or llamas, not sure which! There is also a market. We bought some pumpkin butter, chunky peach jam, and strawberry rhubarb preserves. Those run about $9 each, and they also have lots of pickled goods. Water for $1, soda for $2 and popsicles for $3. There are also a few produce items to buy. The staff here were so friendly and sweet! We will definitely be back to pick blackberries in mid July and peaches too. Easy parking and lots of port-a-potties. We spent about an hour here and had a lovely time. Family friendly and great activity to do with kids. It was pretty empty on a weekday afternoon!

My husband and I decided to visit this farm to hand pick our own apples. The drive to this location was beautiful. When we arrived, the employees were very friendly, explaining to us the process. We then walked down to the orchard. It was so beautiful and peaceful. They have live animals that you can pet. We walked around the reservoir to the many rows of apples. They had at least 5-6 different types of apples.. we were in aw...it didn't take long to fill up two of the baskets they us. The price of the apples was good. I know I would have paid more in the store. I also purchased their appl cider and it was delicious. This was a great place to visit.

I was very surprised with Homestead Farm, and all the offerings for an extremely low price of three dollars per person entry fee. The farm is not too far from the DC area. The three dollar fee will get you in the door. What's included is; ability to see goats, chickens, alpacas, pigs, and other farm animals up close this includes a hayride. The hayride was about 15 minutes long and ran about 5 to 7 minutes per tractor. Kids and adults really enjoyed it. They were cute little photo opportunities all over the farm. The pumpkin picking section had ample space. And the staff was replacing pumpkins at a decent rate. There's a lot of selection on the quality of pumpkins looked very good. The cost per pound for a pumpkin was $.75. Another reason why we came here was that that Apple picking was still in season. There was a vast selection of apples available to Pick. The quality of the apples was excellent. we came for the pumpkin picking but stay for the apple picking. The staff was very friendly after he picked up about 60 pounds of pumpkins. we did not want to haul around the farm so we went back dropped off the pumpkins at the car and they let us back in. Here's an important tip: make sure you grab a cart from the parking lot and take it with you into the farm. It's gonna be very hard to carry more than one pumpkin in and around. The only criticism was they did not have apple cider donuts. Aside from that it was a perfect delightful day. I highly recommend this place it's small intimate and not as commercialized as the other farms, or the entry fee significantly higher other types of activities, such as a hayride cost an additional fee. We will be back next year. My fingers are crossed that they have apple cider donuts.
